Smooth's
Restaurant offer the perfect location and the excellent
service necessary for any banquet function. Our facilities
can accommodate public, private, and corporate events
ranging in size from 15 to 350 attendees. Our extensive
gourmet Contemporary American Cuisine provides you with
several menu options that everyone will enjoy.
With varying sizes and unique features, our individual
banquet rooms can accommodate all of your needs and
any of our banquet facilities can be used individually
or collectively. Big Cohiba, Small Cohiba, and our
Roof Top Terrace are located upstairs in Club Cohiba,
while the Chef's Table is located downstairs in Smooth’s

Guarantee:
The number of guests attending must be confirmed at least seven (7)
days prior to the date of your event. This number will be considered
a guarantee and may not be reduced after it has been set. This is the
number of guests for which you will be charged, even if less attend.
Should the number of guests increase, Smooth's will be prepared to
serve 5% over your guaranteed amount.Prices
and Labor Charges:
All food and beverages are subject to a 20% gratuity and 8.25% sales
tax. Prices are subject to change. In the event of a menu change, your
catering manager will inform you promptly. There is also a cake-cutting
fee of $1.50 per person.Deposits:
A non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve your space. The
deposit is roughly 25% of the anticipated balance and will be applied
toward your final bill.Room
Fee:
A standard room fee will be applied according to season. Please check
with the catering manager.Payment:
Your final payment is due on or before the date of your event. Payment
may be made by cash, credit card or cashier's check. Food and Beverage:
The menu chosen for your event must be confirmed at least seven (7) days
prior to the date of your event. No outside food or beverage will be
allowed on the premises (cakes are the exception). We offer a complete
selection of distilled spirits, wines, and champagnes for your event.
In addition, we will be happy to assist you in selecting a menu that
will fit your individual tastes to ensure a successful event.Linens:
We have a variety of colored linens to choose from for your event. Please
make an appointment with a catering manager to choose your linens. If
you do not wish to have any specific linen, than the standard colors
will be used.Bar:
Your options for your event beverages are either Cash & Carry or
a Hosted Bar. Please check with the catering manager for details. Dress
Code Policy:
Our dress code policy applies to all guests. If any guest does not comply
with our dress code policy we can decline entrance. It is imperative
that you inform all of your guests of our dress code policy. Please ask
the catering manager for the Dress Code Guidelines, if you have not received
one in your banquet package.Club Cohiba:
Club hours are Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8:30 P.M. (admission
is $15.00- $20.00).
Location
and Parking:
For out-of-town visitors, Smooth's is conveniently located just two blocks
away from several first class hotels. Our restaurant is also easily accessible
from two of Southern California's main freeways - the 710 and the 405.
Smooth's offers valet parking for guests conveniently located in front
of the restaurant or two-hour free validated parking located in the adjacent
lot.
To
Book Your Event:
1. Determine
your budget and the number of guests that you will entertain
2. Determine the type of event that you would like to host (sit-down dinner
buffet-style dinner, cocktail party, etc.)
3. Select the date, time, and preferred location for your event
4. Review our Banquet Menus and contact our banquet managers by phone
at (562) 437-7700 fax at (562) 983-1949 or E-mail
us to discuss your event plans
5. Your contract and invoice will be presented to you upon final menu
selection
6. The deposit for your event is 1/3 of the estimated food and beverage
total and is required to book the space for your event. Your deposit is
non-refundable after 90 days. The remainder of the total is due the day
of your event.
